As a mechanical engineer, it is very rewarding to contribute to the finished product. I appreciate the diversity in my position, working both in the office and in the workshop where I am involved with testing new ideas and products. This combination makes me a more effective engineer because I have the ability to design and then test that design before it goes live on a vessel.
